Qualifications for Full Membership
Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the electrical industry as an independent sales representative of manufacturers shall be eligible for membership, provided that such individual, firm or corporation:
a. Has been engaged as an independent representative for at least two years prior to application, and at least five years in the
electrical industry.
b. Represents at least two electrical manufacturers, and maintains an office and personnel separate and apart from, and
independent of, any such manufacturers.
c. Has no interests adverse to, or in conflict with, the Association, its general membership or its purposes.
d. Agrees to subscribe to and maintain the ethical standards of practice established by the Association.
e. Pays the dues established by the Association for all of its members, and initiation fee established for new members.
f. Is sponsored by at least two members of the Association in the individual’s trading area.
Qualifications for Associate Membership
Associate Members are those who, although they do not qualify for full or honorary membership under the Constitution and By-Laws of this Association, shall be entitled to and inured of all rights and benefits, duties and obligations, of the aforesaid full membership, except that:
a. Associate members shall not have been engaged as an independent sales representative for at least two years prior to application, but
must have at least five years in the electrical industry.
b. Associate members shall not hold any office whatever, either elected or appointed in the Association.
c. Associate members shall have no voting rights whatsoever in Association matters.
d. Associate members upon meeting the requirements of being engaged as independent sales representatives for 2 years shall
immediately be granted full membership in the Association without further action.
NEMRA Annual Membership Fees
Annual Dues: $750 Per Company + $80 Per Employee (Organizational Strength)
Up to a Maximum of 50 Employees $4,750
