NEMRA POS Initiative
In 2014, members of NEMRA and the NMG (NEMRA Manufacturers Group) commissioned a study to understand the current state of POS. This initiative was an effort to identify how the POS process could be improved to ensure reps were accurately compensated. After presenting the results at the NEMRA15 Conference, a task force consisting of manufacturers and distributors developed minimum reporting standards designed to streamline processes, be more distributor-friendly to encourage usage and to ensure consistency.
Today, almost 40 manufacturers and almost 500 distributor locations have endorsed the standards.
NEMRA’s goal is for every manufacturer who is impacted by POS reporting to endorse these standards.
