Highlighting the Power of Partnerships Across the Channel
At Graybar’s National Training Conference, NEMRA President Jim Johnson joined Danna Stone, Graybar’s SVP of Marketing, to address more than 350 business leaders — including sales representatives, branch managers, and corporate leadership from across the country — about how NEMRA strengthens the manufacturer–rep–distributor partnership and why the association’s role is so critical to the channel.

Johnson highlighted NEMRA’s core pillars of value: education and training that equip reps with resources, research, and programs to strengthen their role as strategic partners; networking and collaboration that align manufacturers, reps, and distributors through conferences, boot camps, and industry initiatives; and technology and data that advance standards like P.O.S. reporting while delivering actionable research to drive smarter decisions, tighter alignment, and sustainable growth.
Looking ahead, Johnson emphasized three ways to deepen collaboration with Graybar: advancing industry standards through consistent data sharing; engaging reps as strategic partners who provide market intelligence and contractor insight; and championing rep involvement early in Graybar’s growth initiatives, from digital transformation to contractor engagement.
With 330 rep firms nationwide, NEMRA ensures Graybar has a professional, prepared partner wherever their branches and customers are located. For Graybar, this translates into faster wins, deeper contractor relationships, and quicker national execution — proof that NEMRA reps are essential partners in powering progress across the industry.
