NEMRA Mourns the Passing of Michalle Oldaker

Ara Michalle Arthur Oldaker, 54, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away January 3, 2022, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia, on September 14, 1967, the daughter of Tommie Sue Templeton and Paul Ernest Arthur. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas Roscoe and Carolyn June Hopson Templeton, and Hiram Carl Arthur. 

Michalle was a graduate of Huntington East High School Class of 1985, Marshall University Class of 1991, and furthered her education at Ohio University. She was an educator for the Chesapeake School District and Collins Career Technical Center. In addition, she was a member of Cross Community Church (C3) of South Point, Ohio; The Woman’s Club of Huntington where she served as an officer; Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Marshall University; volunteer for Hometown Love of Chesapeake, Ohio; and volunteer for Suzy’s Helping Hands at Chesapeake Middle School. Michalle had a caring heart and volunteered with many organizations. When there was a need, Michalle was there. Her true passion was helping children in need. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles “Chuck” Frederick Oldaker, Jr; her grandmother, Mona Belle Arthur; her mother, Tommie Sue Templeton; her father and stepmother, Paul Ernest Arthur and Erma Elene McCallister Arthur; her sister, Susan Glenn Arthur; her brother, Thomas Richard (T.R.) Hannan; her cherished children, Thomas Ryan Ashworth and his wife, Krisa Bailie Ashworth, Blake Michael Ashworth, Austin Christian Oldaker and his wife, Emily Ann Oldaker, Tristin Reed Oldaker, and Braxton Edward Oldaker; her beloved niece, Jordan Carly Storms; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her favored son, her Goldendoodle, Maverick Michael Oldaker.

 

Michelle touched so many lives and she us all better people for having had the opportunity to be in her presence. She will be dearly misses by her family, her entire community, and the world she touched
